1983 Avy Award Winners

Abstract

The chairman of the Avy Awards Committee, Dale R. Thompson, announced the results of the committee's work and research for the breeding year of 1982. These winning names were submitted on or before December 31, 1982. This gave the committee approximately six months to confirm the first time breedings.

Anyone wishing to submit a nomination for the 1984 awards, to be presented at the AFA convention, Orlando, FL, should have the forms filled out and sent in by December 31, 1983. Forms and information are available through the AFA office or the committee chairman.

The following winners were presented their due recognition at the Chicago convention banquet, Saturday evening, August 20th. AF A congratulates these dedicated and accomplished people for their valuable contribution to aviculrure!
